Two of my favorite people and wonderful critique buddies each won Most Promising in their categories at last Saturday’s SCBWI Central-Coastal California Writers' Day while I was out paddling my Kayak. Woo Hoo and congratulations to two very talented ladies – Lynn Becker and Rebecca Langston-George!

Sadly, I was not there to cheer them on this year. I was out kayaking, snorkeling, and meandering around Catalina Island with my husband on a rare and wonderful (if way too short) vacation. Maybe next year I can squeeze both events into my busy schedule.
