Siri Weber Feeney and I were thrilled to learn that her excellent Synapse cover won the December 2011 e-Book Cover Design Award for fiction.  Yes, first place!

It didn’t hurt that Siri is a professional illustrator and had studied the art of e-book cover design with the same intensity with which she approaches all of her work.  (Check out more of Siri's work here.)

Joel Friedlander (The Book Designer) complimented her “simplified but engaging design” as being “exactly what is called for” in an e-book cover that is frequently viewed as a thumbnail.

So go ahead!  Judge this book by its cover!  Then I’d love for you to read it.

Hey Dawn,
How very cool that all this is going so swimmingly. I bow in your general direction.

And I return the bow, Charlie. Your Wordmonger blog (http://csperryess.blogspot.com/) is most intriguing!

Taking off your Jan 26 post -- I am having great fun shaping my dough into the loaf of my new book, but I’m certainly not rolling in the dough. Truthfully, though, if I could have only one or the other, the fun of creating and sharing stories would be my pick.
